Expert To Talk About Cancer

BREAST cancer expert John Forbes will present a public lecture in Newcastle this week.

Professor Forbes will talk about how research has contributed to a decline in breast cancer death rates and to increasing understanding of the disease's biology.

He will also discuss how research ensures the accuracy of clinical trial results and attempts to improve patient treatment.

His address, at the Newcastle City Hall at 6pm on Thursday, is a highlight of the University of Newcastle's Winter School in Mathematics and Computational Biology.
