Teacher, author and dowsing expert Alanna Moore will be in Victoria to lecture this month.

Ms Moore, who divides her time teaching between Europe and Australia founded the Dowsers Society of NSW in 1984.

She says dowsing is about developing intuition and sensitivity with a dowsing pendulum.

"We teach theory, history and practical applications in problem solving. You can learn to discover diagnostic and healing applications to detect allergens and dietary requirements and select remedies. Dowse is an act of self-empowerment."
